About the department

The department of Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics at GIDSR, Ferozepur runs a Dental council of India (DCI) affiliated 3 year post graduate program. Orthodontics is the area of dentistry concerned with the supervision, guidance and correction of the growing and mature dentofacial structure, including those conditions that require movement of teeth or correction of malrelationships and malformations of related structures by the adjustment of relationships between and among teeth and facial bones by the application of forces and / or the stimulation and redirection of the functional forces within the craniofacial complex.

Equipments

The department has been constantly upgrading the equipments and is currently equipped with latest version of cephalometric analyzing software along with a high end SLR camera for better patient diagnosis and treatment planning. The department is also venturing into latest orthodontic treatment techniques including mini implants and Self ligating system. For continuing dental education at under graduate and post graduate level the department is equipped with state of art seminar hall with latest audio visual system.
