About the Department               
Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge is one of the major departments of any dental college. Teaching of this department starts from the very first year of admission.

Department of Prosthodontics in GIDSR is well equipped with the state of art equipment for providing prosthodontic treatment (replacement of missing teeth and associated structures) to the patients of Malwa region of Punjab. It is having maximum number of teaching. This department imparts training to Under Graduate and Post Graduate students.
 
Head of the Department
Dr. Manjit Kumar is presently Prof & HOD. He has graduated from Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Amritsar and Post Graduated from AFMC, Pune. After 22 years of qualified service he has retired from Army Dental Corps.

His special field of work is Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, Implants, Esthetics & Restorative dentistry. He has attended National & International Conferences and read number of papers along with Chairing number of Scientific Sessions.
